Three bills endorsed by ERANow pass Delaware’s General Assembly

Three bills aimed at fighting gender discrimination in the workplace won passage to Markell’s desk. They would bar employers from taking actions against employees for discussing their salaries, making reproductive decisions or for taking on responsibilities caring for children or elderly people.

The first of the bills increases pay transparency, a major step in achieving pay equity, while the other two bills address issues of importance to women. read more...

Rodney Smolla, Dean of the Delaware Law School and five ERANow members and supporters (Suzanne Moore, Linda Barnett, Robert Hayman, Kathleen MacRae, and Richard Morrison) spoke before the Delaware Senate Executive Committee on June 8, 2016 in support of SB 190. The bill proposes an Equal Protection Amendment to the Delaware Constitution. The amendment would provide equal protection from discrimination for women and other groups that historically have been targets of discrimination. read more...
