Ready To Run®

Ready to run in delaware

Hoping to get more involved in the political process but not sure how to begin? Thinking of running for office but uncertain about the hurdles to be faced?

Ready to Run® Delaware is a non-partisan campaign training program to encourage and train women to run for elective office, position themselves for appointive office, work on a campaign, or get involved in public life in other ways.

The six-week program (2 hours per week) begins October 16, 2017 at Delaware Law School with a keynote address by U.S. Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester. The subsequent five sessions, all on a Wednesday evening at 6:15 pm run, from October 18 to November 15, 2017. Sessions will be led by Delaware legislators, political leaders including the chairs for Delaware’s Democratic and Republican parties, and campaign experts.

You will walk away knowing how to:

  • Navigate the party system

  • Lay the groundwork for public life

  • Develop and launch a campaign

  • Fundraise

  • Build a media campaign

  • Develop internet strategies

Ready to Run® Delaware is affiliated with the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) of Rutgers University and its acclaimed network of 20 state Ready to Run® programs.
